wHo is Oscar Wilde ?

Image
Hellllooooooooo my beautiful minds!!!! So, have you heard of someone named Oscar Wilde?? Yeah me either lol joking.  But I have recently learned more about who Oscar Wilde is and he created many Fairy tales. Some are the selfish-giant, the happy prince, and the nightingale and the rose. On another not Oscar Wilde stories aren't your typical fairy tale. In which majority of his fairy tales end in gloom, misery, hopeless or depressing ways. His stories are not a happily ever after. Although there are things that are on the bright side the ending is just not what you would expect. I think the reason to them being so special is because they are unique and unpredictable. The uniqueness is because his characters as others would say are a reflection of him. His characters depict that they are emotionally unstable not being able to control their emotions to the point where there is death, heartache, or hopeless love. Overall, Oscar Wilde stories are wonderful and I recommend others to read...

Hans Christen Anderson stories or European stories?

Image
Yeah I'm writing these blogs Back to Back. lol No seriously I was a little behind with writing to my favorite readers. Hello, Hello, Hello!!!!! back again. oh it feel so good to just type about things that you and others can relate too. Okay so I'm going to discuss the stories of Han-Christens Anderson in comparison to how differently they are from European stories. first I'm going to educate you guys about Han christens Anderson stories in which I believe they are mostly about objectifying a women or having her make a decision that makes her seems unwise. and I say this because the story the little mermaid was about a young girl giving up her life as a mermaid to be human and with a man she barely knows. Another example is in Tiger's Bride where her father bets on his daughter loses her to the beast and she has to do what he says because he own's her now. Most stories I feel are basically about owner ship and being with someone that you don't actually want to b...

Native American folk and fairy tale

Image
Hello again readers! haven't made a blog in I don't know how long, but I do know things are about to get very educational or at least it is for me. so, on this journey that I'm on I have noticed many different folk and fairy tales and this just goes to show everyone uses their imagination and develops creativity. Any who about them native American stories that leaves you with a different approach. and I say this because Native American folk and fairy tales are an oral tradition. some stories are sacred and spiritual in nature. These stories are told to preserve ancestral history about Native Americans. it is known that one of the greatest connections is that spiritual forces can be felt and experienced in the physical world. in addition oral story telling remains a vivid and beautiful part of their culture.  These stories go along way for them and will forever remain apart of them. The reasoning Native American folk and fairy tales are unique because they are different for ...

Good morning amigas and amigos how are y'all doing on this beautiful morning? I know y'all probably like how she go from English to Spanish to English. well wanna know why?? because im bilingual lol joking... I wish I was. But anyway to get down to business ladies and gents today I recently viewed my classmates blog which was very informational and thorough. Her name is Payton and I would like to recommend that you all go and read her blog. My favorite blog she wrote was blog number 6 where she compared Cinderella to Pretty Woman and talked about "rags to riches". In which they are in some ways similar. Also, like how she talked about the reality of a real happy ending or successful life. Another blog that caught my attention was blog number 5 in which she talked about snow white in comparison to a song called sonne in which it betrayed the story of snow white but in a different perspective. The reason this blog caught my attention was because I completely agree with...

Guest speaker

Okaayyyy sooo It’s been a while since I wrote a blog. Wow ladies and gents are you ready for a story I have for you. Pass few classes we have had  guest speakers come in and tell us about folktale and their stories and how they’ve been told to them. So we recently learned more about Kenyan folktales and how unique they are from other folktales and I say this because kenyan folktales makes it seem like you where there it’s very realistic in a way that makes your imagination go wild. The uniqueness about kenyan folktale is that most of the time it follows through with a song which is very traditional  and really makes the story come alive. For instance when Dr. Ochieng’ K’Olewe told wonderful stories to the class. One being about the money and the shark story which is one of my favorites because the shark took the monkey as a fool and he was know fool, and the ending made me laugh the most. I would tell you guys the story but I don’t think I can tell it as good as he did. It was...

Snow White ❄️

Image
Hey y’all let me just start off by saying I don’t even know where to start.  Before  writing this I watched the music video sonne by Rammstein and I was so lost until I saw this giant female enter the room looking like Snow White. First thing that came to thought was omg she’s so huge lol but I forgot that cause she’s surrounded by 7 dwarfs. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ Anyway you guys should check out the video and comment your thoughts. However,  I did like how they switched the story around by making Snow White seem evil and mean towards the dwarfs. And the twist they had when they over dosed her with gold 🧐 im not sure πŸ€” but they placed her body in a glass coffin and put her in the top of a hill with an old tree that has one apple hanging off. Saying this because the apple falls and breaks the glass and she awakens😱 watched the video to get the ending…… I couldn’t spoil it all!!! But we all know the ole original, so  comparing that video to other stories I’m lost for words. The stori...
